[Machine Translation] A breathtaking album that combines the best of city pop, which has been a hot topic of conversation overseas as well! CITY POP is a genre of popular music with urban and sophisticated melodies, lyrics, and grooves influenced by Western music and oriented toward Western music, which was created and popular in Japan from the late 1970s to the 1980s. Since the 2000s, it has been rediscovered by the Internet generation, including those overseas, through Youtube and SNS, and has become a global trend. In 2025, the 100th anniversary of the Showa period, we will release a new nonstop mix CD using the original sound sources to summarize city pop, which has grown into a new genre of Japanese culture that is proud to be a part of the world.
