From Mishima, Shizuoka, this is the identity of four members, unfolded beneath a sound filed under shoegaze and dream pop. Formed within a university club in Mishima, Shizuoka in the spring of 2019, they release their long-awaited 1st EP in the summer of 2026, in their seventh year since forming. Seven years that can hardly be called those of a newcomer. Graduating from university, the COVID-19 pandemic, finding work, moving to Tokyo. Those experiences refined what they had created on their initial impulse and gave it pride. "1970-nen no Vacances" is beautiful for the dynamics that rise out of a taut tension and for lyrics held in exquisite balance. "Ashikubi" carefully expresses a melancholy that drifts at a consistently low temperature from beginning to end. "Donuts," the latest song, born out of experience, has a vigorous rhythm, a nostalgic melody and striking lyrics. Even now, with shoegaze in the middle of a major movement driven by young people, the expression of these four awkward members was delivered only at live venues for seven years. From the start they have valued a pop mind wearing the skin of shoegaze, and a world made by the four of them alone. The smiles the rhythm section shows during live performances may at first seem mismatched with their sound, but perhaps that is an expression of the fact that they are not a stereotypical shoegaze band. Recorded at ROJI as a self-production, and with the music video for "Donuts" filmed and edited by the members themselves, this became a direct work with no outside intervention in the expression the four of them create. Mixing is handled by Akihiro Iizuka, who works with Yanushi, and mastering by Moe Kazama.
