Ezra Collective, who have just headlined the New Music Stage at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend, will release their fourth studio album "Here Because of Hope" via Partisan Records. This work marks the opening of a bold new chapter for Ezra Collective. This album is released following a historic few years in which they became the first jazz artists ever to win the Mercury Prize and also took the "Group of the Year" award at the BRIT Awards. Grand, emotional and full of deep rhythm, this work captures a band that continues to push the boundaries of contemporary British music while remaining rooted in the community, spirituality and collective energy that have shaped them since their formation. This work, which features a reading (narration) by Letitia Wright, the actress and winner of a BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts), includes guest appearances by Pa Salieu, Lila Ike, Leona Lewis and Libianca. "This fourth work symbolizes a very distinct and beautiful period for us. The first few albums felt like an Ezra Collective in its childhood, but this time the work truly feels like Ezra Collective grown into adulthood. There were countless moments full of joy and excitement, but at the same time, it is also true that we cannot help but feel deep pain and sorrow when we look at this world. While holding the view that joy is the most important thing and the final destination, we strongly resolved to make an album that looks squarely at the pain and temporary hardships people are facing. This album is a journey from that pain to joy, and the word that serves as the bridge along the way is 'hope.' We hope that this record makes people dance and also makes them cry. A story is woven into every corner of the work, and it is told most eloquently by five adults who met in childhood," Ezra Collective say, looking back on "Here Because of Hope." Includes commentary, lyrics and Japanese translations, and a Japanese edition bonus track (subject to change). *Since this product is released simultaneously worldwide, delivery will be on or after the release date.
