Mong Tong is a maverick of the Taipei underground scene and a psychedelic experimental unit, and this is their masterpiece killer album released in 2025. Set against a backdrop of traditional Taiwanese music, it fuses electronic music and game music from the 1980s and 1990s with vintage psychedelia, creating a one-of-a-kind musical world and an otherworldly psychedelia. This music unit consists of real-life brothers Hom Yu and Jiun Chi, who are also members of Prairie WWWW, which started in 2017! On the label Guruguru Brain, run by Go Kurosawa and Tomo Katsurada of Kikagaku Moyo, they released their first album, "Mystery" (2020). They show a connection between the music of the Chinese-speaking world and the rest of the world, and their performances in monotone costumes are eccentric and mysterious. Their worldview drew a big response, and on Kikagaku Moyo's final tour, they served as the opening act at the EU/UK shows and at Ebisu The Garden Hall. On their second album, "Tao Fire" (2023), they released a work that also carries respect for the mystical pioneer of electronic music, Oscar Young.
