Australian pianist David Helfgott's bio-pic features Geoffrey Rush's Oscar-winning performance. Armin Mueller-Stahl is the strict father of the pianist. Rush embodies the character here in such a manner that you'll be amzed if you compare his other screen roles to this one. His acting here is on a par with Daniel Day-Lewis' Christy Brown in "My Left Foot" and Gary Oldman's Sid Vicious in "Sid and Nancy."
