The theatrical prequel to the cult TV series by David Lynch and Mark Frost. The Lynch film starts out 7 days prior to the first scene of the TV series pilot. The FBI agent Chester Desmond (Chris Isaak) investigates the murder of a girl named Teresa Banks in Washington State. The murder occured a year before Laura Palmer (Sheryl Lee) was found dead.
