It uses goat hair called "Saibikoho" which uses only high quality and very soft hair carefully selected from "Saikoho", 100% top-quality baby goat chest hair. The handles of the brushes are coated by Echizen urushi (Echizen lacquer), which is Japanese traditional coating material. It comes in a paulownia box.
