Detailed Product Information
SURGE'K, a solo project band of Captain Koji (KOJI KIMURA), guitarist of MEDIA and MEDIA VIBES and MC of YOUTUBE's "Sound Rockets TV", will be fully launched in 2024. Currently, MEDIA is limited to two gigs a year due to the circumstances of its members, so SURGE'K was started out of a desire to perform live consistently, with KOJI taking on guitar/vocals for the first time. SURGE'K is not bound by the genre of "Japanese heavy metal, " but rather creates a genre-less sound based on the aggressive heavy rock and heavy metal that KOJI loves, while incorporating punkish tastes, catchiness, and melodious phrases. A-chan (ex.LADIES ROOM) plays guitar as a fixed member, and Mayo (Ds) and yuri (B) from the popular girls' band HADES join the rhythm section as supporting musicians.
This is the long-awaited first mini-album by SURGE'K, which has been focusing on live performances ahead of its release. KOJI, the main songwriter of the album, took on guitar/vocals for the first time and also wrote lyrics for the first time, and the songs incorporate many of his favorite sounds, The result is a genre-less sound.
