[Machine Translation] A collection of jazz standards that have been played over time. The duo sound, overflowing with warm feelings, connects the era to the present and the future. This is an ambitious work utilizing the multiple playing of jazz vocalist and alto saxophonist Rie Oguchi. Although this is a duo work, he utilizes the modern recording technique of overdubs and includes the sound of his own saxophone in the background of his own singing. In addition to four instrumental pieces, three with vocals are included. This is an album of duo performances with a good balance of instrumental jazz and vocal pieces on one album. The fourth track, "Night and Day," and the fifth track, "Our Love is Here to Stay," are standards with Japanese lyrics written by Rie Oguchi herself. Sachiko Shimasue's piano playing shines throughout the album. <profile> Rie Oguchi (saxophone, vocals) is a practicing physician and musician. Graduated from Berklee College of Music.
