[Machine Translation] UKULENICA is a ukulele quartet of four ukulele enthusiasts led by Toru Okada (Moonriders). The members are Okada, Fuminao Natsuaki (Jack Tatsu), Takashi Yoshida (Rose-Unlimited, 5th Garden), and Hideaki Kuroda (plusico). This first album, entitled "Phases of the moon," is a collection of Riders' covers of classic Moonriders songs. It includes "Ano Musume no Love Letter" from their debut album, "Knit Cap Man" (which Akiko Yano also covered), "K no Trunk" and 4 songs from their masterpiece "Mania Maniera" (1982). In principle, the album is composed entirely of ukulele sounds, including percussion. Guest vocalists are Yusuke Sato and Nozomu Sato of Camera = Fountain Pen (#13 "K's Trunk" vocal version). Maika Lubute (#04 "Lolita Yaya"), a home-recorded female SSW who has performed with Naruyoshi Kikuchi and Keiichi Suzuki, also participates in this album.
